L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival-  Fashion Photography at its best.

It only take another persons view to make you look at things a little differently.
Here's some photography from Kirstie-Lee, a sneak peak to what she captured on the night.

Above a piece from Hardwick's collection, the details here are caught effortlessly as the light and position created beautiful structured lines on the soft fabric.

Above, a front view of Jayson Brunsdon design imagery focused on the colours and the sheer tones of this little dress. Teamed up with those tan legs this will be stunning
 in the Autumn sun.

This is why I love fashion. On someone right,  it can just make an outfit. Kirstie-lee seemed to just capture this so well, like it was nothing at all. I see that as a talent that not everyone has at their finger tips. The moments that were so split second, that even my eye didn't notice. I say this because these models marched fast down that runway you are trying to capture this moving object, disappearing.
I particularly love the red cape- the expression on the models face just made it- beautiful. . .

L'Oreal Fashion Festival 2013 Autumn/Winter collections

Last month I finally splurged out and bought myself a ticket to the L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival. I had been meaning to go every year ever since I started fashion school, though unfortunately had always missed it or was working. So this year I was going no matter what!
The night was enjoyable. as made it that my friend/ Professional photographer, Kirstie-Lee was already going to shoot for her work.(RedFlair Photography, Balwyn)

Runway 4- Presented by Madison magazine introduced us to A/W '13.

Featured -
Alannah Hill
Aurelio Costarella
Flannel
Hardwick
Jayson Brunsdon
Kirrily Johnston
Megan Park

I was most looking forward to Alannah Hill and Kirrily Johnston.
Surprisingly the stand out for me on the runway was Hardwick's collection. Which is a new Australian favorite of mine, check out their website  http://marianahardwick.com.au/

Jayson Brunsdon brings soft sheer textures and brights for A/W 2013.
While Hardwick kept things simple using a neutral pallet of black, grey with a touch of silver metallic sheen here and there. Most pieces wearable and flattering on the models- soft fabrics that created draped feminine designs, mixed with leather peplum waists.
It was biker chic meets lace lingerie.
Most interesting pieces included a Black leather peplum belt with laser cut detail and the StingRay wool cape with waist tie.

Aurelio Costarella came to the show with pencil skirts, tailored jackets and swish dresses in rich fabrics with implacable details. Below, the champagne soft flowing dress with embellished shoulders swept the floor, stunning.

I was lucky to stumble upon a studio visits from L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival blog- check it out http://blog.lmff.com.au/tag/aurelio-costarella/

So the experience? for the money, I would not pay more. I understand there is so much work that goes into a show and appreciate it. But as cruel as it is, we always no expect more... I look forward to being more inspired and influenced by the talented Australian designers we have here!

Thanks for reading! Have a lovely day/night!

Cheers,
